Learn to Dive

Learn to Scuba Dive

Learn to scuba dive with a trained professional, licensed by a National Training Association.  Scuba Diving can be a very safe recreation if you are trained properly, have the right equipment for the type of diving you’ll be doing, and you dive within your physical, physiological and equipment limitations.  To safely scuba dive with a buddy, you must first be certified by a Scuba Instructor licensed to teach entry level scuba diving courses.

You can begin your SCUBA diving adventure by visiting your local Professional Diving Center and ask to speak with a Certified Scuba Diving Instructor.  Your local dive store can teach you how to dive, get you completely outfitted, take you diving, and keep you active in our wonderful recreation.  Listed below are Professional Retail Dive Centers that are Members of the Dive Industry Association.

Another way to begin your journey to becoming a certified scuba diver is to contact a Local Independent SCUBA  Diving Instructor and speak with them about their scuba diving programs for beginners.  All of the Qualified Scuba Diving Instructors listed below are actively involved in the recreational diving industry and are Members of the Dive Industry Association.

For your reference, we have listed 2 Scuba Diving Training Agencies that license Scuba Diving Instructors to teach scuba diving courses.  Both are Members in good standing with the Dive Industry Association.

The Dive Industry Association is pleased to recommend a licensed scuba diving instructor in the following areas.  If you do not find an instructor in your area, contact gene@diveindustry.net for a local referral.  Enjoy your scuba diving adventures !
